Annual events
Every year, we host an Annual General Meeting (AGM), a General Meeting, and a Christmas get-together for residents.
Beyond residents also host an Easter garage sale for the wider community.
General meeting & Wetlands talk
When: Wednesday 28 May 2025
Time: 6.30pm–8.30pm
Location:
Victor Harbor Bowling Club
Flinders Parade, Victor Harbor
Join us for an engaging evening of community connection, learning and local updates.
We’re delighted to begin the evening with a special presentation from Dr Sylvia Zukowski, Senior Aquatic Ecologist from Nature Glenelg Trust. Dr Zukowski will share expert insights into the health of our wetlands—the fish and birdlife they support, how they respond to flood and drought, and the important role Nature Glenelg Trust plays in their care and monitoring.
In a recent survey, many of you told us you wanted to learn more about the wetlands. This is your opportunity to do just that—and ask any questions you may have.
Following the talk, the committee will provide a community update.
Light refreshments will be provided and the bar will be open if you’d like to purchase a drink.
Financial members will receive the 2024 General Meeting minutes and the 2025 agenda by email ahead of time.
Please RSVP by Wednesday 21 May and advice any dietary requirements.

Easter garage sale
When: Easter Saturday
Time: 9am–3pm
Location: Homes throughout the Beyond Today estate
Each year, Beyond residents host a garage sale during the Easter weekend. All residents are invited to participate by setting up a stall on their property–the more, the merrier! It's an excellent opportunity to sell crafts, plants, produce, or any unwanted items. Temporary signage will be placed at every entrance to the estate, and residents can add their own signs to guide visitors to their homes. The event will be promoted on social media. If you feel you don't have enough to sell, consider teaming up with your neighbours and join the fun!
Weekly working bees
Our Beyond Gardening Group Volunteers (aka the 'Weedies’) meet every Friday morning from 8:30am to 10:30am.
They make their way around the reserves—weeding, pruning, mulching, planting, and watering.
There is often a social cuppa at the end of the ‘working bee’ to exchange ideas.
New volunteers are always welcome.
